    Demonstrating Pillow Lace at an Agricultural Show with my sister Sue. Subsequently I was offered a post at the Royal School of Needlework to teach it there.

    My first 'LOVE' a Mercedes 300 which had belonged to the Dutch Ambassador, and which I "spat" and polished. I bashed down the petrol tank so I could "post" the harp through the boot.

    My next instrument was a clavichord to my own design and which is still in full playing order. It was played by Antonio Ruiz Pipo at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris - amplified of course.

    I love doing up houses and making curtains and this shows an example!! I remember that the fringing over the aquamarine silk was hell to do! I also made the tassels.

    I had a passion for knitting and crochet. I designed and crocheted this waistcoat.
